To Our Stakeholders;
As you many know, the 1st Judicial District is home to six problem solving court programs. These programs apply effective evidenced-based interventions targeted at addressing the underlying issues that cause Court system involvement, and as a result, produce positive outcomes for both the program participants and their communities.
Our Courts include:
Family Integrated Treatment (FIT) Court Veterans Treatment Court (VTC)
Child Support Services Court
Juvenile Mental Health Court (JMHC) Adult Mental Health Court
The 1st JD Problem Solving Courts want to ensure senior administrators, key stakeholders, sup- porting agencies, and interest community members are regularly provided with an overview and information about these collaborative programs. In order to be respectful of your time and possible involvement with multiple courts, the 1st JD Problem Solving Courts will be holding our second Annual Report this spring to inform our stakeholders of the successes and needs of the problem solving courts and answer any questions about these programs.
We encourage you to personally attend this annual presentation where Judicial Officers and Coordinators will provide brief updates about each program’s target populations, successes, needs, and future plans, as well as highlight the effectiveness of problem solving courts.
This format was designed to assist you in remaining current on the state of the problem solving courts and to address any questions or concerns you may have about our programs, while respecting your time and numerous commitments. Your support is critical to ensure our programs’ sustainability, allowing our dedicated teams to continuing serving our judicial District’s high risk/ high need populations effectively.
Please save the date for the 1st JD Problem Solving Court Annual Report, scheduled for Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 4:00 –5:00 pm at the Jefferson County Courts and Administration Building in Hearing Room 1. Light refreshments will be served after the presentation.
